Heartfelt Creations Pop-Up Wedding Box Card

Antique Pop-Up Wedding Box Card



Heartfelt Creations Products Used:
·         Stamp –Sun Kissed Fleur PreCut Set                                     SKU: HCPC 3533

Materials Used:
·         1 -12 x 12 Cream Cardstock
·         1 -12 x 12 Black Cardstock
·        1 -12 x 12 White Cardstock
·         1 Sheet of Vellum
·         Adhesive
·        3-D Foam Squares
·        Cutter
·         Wire
·         “Love” Gold Heart Key
·          Scoring Board with Scoring Tool

Product Instructions:
Creating Pop-Up Box

Pop-Up Box Card
1)      Cut cream cardstock to 8.5” x 12”
2)      Score on the long side at 2.75”, 5.5”, 8.25”, 11”
3)      At the bottom of the scored cardstock cut off a 2” x 12” strip and set aside (will be used later)

4)      Turn the 6.5” x 12” panel turn 90°, score at 2.75”
5)      Cut down 2.75” to this scoreline along each of the 4 perpendicular score lines
6)      Cut a slight angle up from the edge of the cardstock at the 11” scoreline and create a tab
7)      Cut the 2” x 12” strip (that was set aside) at 4.75” from the end with the 1” scoreline
8)      Cut the 2” x 4.75” strip in half long way to create two strips, 1” x 4.75”  (both strips should be scored at 1” from each end –fold both tabs back)

Black Cardstock Paper (for each panel)
  • Cut 2 panels                                        2.5” x 6.25”
  • Cut 3 lower panels                              2.5” x 3.5”
  • Cut 6 upper panels                              2.5” x 2.5”
a)      Attach these black panels to the pop-up box card using adhesive (see photo)

Inside 

Outside
 White Cardstock Paper (for each panel –on top of the black paper)
  • Cut 2 panels                                        2.25” x 6”
  • Cut 3 lower panels                              2.25” x 3.25”
  • Cut 6 upper panels                              2.25” x 2.25”
a)      Crumple up all the white cardstock paper
b)      Flatten out the paper
c)      Using a finger dauber with Tim Holtz Brushed Coudory ink on it, wipe the white paper back and forth covering the high spots
d)     Attach your antiqued white paper to the black panels on the pop-up card box

Building Pop-Up Box
a)      Fold the pop-up box card on the 5.5” scoreline and attach the tab inside with adhesive
b)      Fold back the three top flaps that have the single squares, so they are hanging down (leaving the rectangle panel standing tall as the back)



c)      Apply adhesive to the end tabs of the 1” x 4.75” strips (that were set aside prior), adhere them to the inside of the opened box, making them parallel with the back panel (see photo)
d)     Turning both tabs toward the outside (front or back of the box) will help to ensure straight placement to create stabalizers –these will be used to attach your embellishments to




Decorating the Pop-Up Box
Stamping & Die Cuts
1) Sun Kissed Fleur PreCut Set
            a) using brown ink stamp on brown cardstock, as well as on vellum
            b) cut the flowers out of both brown paper and vellum
            c) use an embossing stylus to round the flowers

2) China Fragments PreCut Set
            a) using brown ink stamp on brown cardstock twice
            b) cut out both the medium size cups (2.25” x 1.75”)
            c) cut out both the medium size handles (1” x 1.75”)
            d) attach the handles to the cup

Adding Embellishments to Card
1) Inside of Card:
      -Attach the brown flowers to the vellum flowers as described below
·      Inside Centerpiece Flowers
   -on wire: 2.25” x 2.25” (vellum on top), 2.75” x 2.75” (vellum on top)
   -glued inside: 2” x 2” (brown on top)
                  -Wire Flowers (center):
  -back: wrap a wire around the back stablizer and attach the largest flower 
   on to the top of the wire (cover the top with a small brown piece of
   paper)          


-front: wrap two wires around the front stablizer and attach same as ‘back’
   above with the 2.25” flower on one wire and a medium tea cup on the
   other wire  
**Could also use simple cardstock paper to make a stem to hold up flowers

·       Right flap 
                        -Flower -1.25” x 1.25” (vellum on top) –attach to flap with a 3D foam square
·          Front flap 
                       -Flower -0.75” x 0.75” (brown on top) –attach to flap with a 3D foam square
                      -Tag –cream cardstock:  2.25” x 1.5” (inside) -invert all four corners of each of the two tag
                                          -Write your little sentiment on this tag 
                       -Love Gold Key –glue on front flap


·          Left flap
                        -small tea cup attached to flap with a 3D foam square


2) Outside of Card
  • 2.75” x 2.75” (vellum on top)
  • Medium Tea Cup
  • Cream Cardstock Tag: 2” x 1.5” (for outside) -invert all four corners
    • Stamp Tag with Congratulations or another saying for the Bride and Groom

  3. Amazing. I know lots of little boys this would suit . Gorgeous here too at the minute, actually got the garden tidied so might enjoy a little sit down time later today. Enjoy the sunshine..
